ROCHESTER TOWNSHIP BOARD - MEETING MINUTES

Date   August 10, 2006

Gary Donovan called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM

Members Present – Gary Donovan, Brian Mueller, Jeff Orth, Mike Reiland and Gary Swenson.

Members absent - Douglas Butler, Lenny Laures and Brenda Dicken

Guests: Art Reckinger, Mike Reiland

Minutes - Jeff Orth made a motion to approve the July Minutes. Brian Mueller seconded the motion; it was voted on and passed.

TREASURER's REPORT July 2006

Treasure’s Report - Jeff Orth made a motion to approve the treasure’s report. Brian Mueller seconded the motion; it was voted on and passed.

Rochester Township Claims - Jeff Orth made a motion to approve the Rochester Township claims from 286 to 296 for $13,617.76. Brian Mueller seconded the motion; it was voted on and passed.

JPB Claims – Jeff Orth made a motion to approve the JPB claims 589 thru 608 for $9,793.60. Brian Mueller seconded the motion; it was voted on and passed.

Road Report - Mike Reiland said they were going to mill the Windsor and Lilly Court. Mowing is done for the second time. Mike brought a couple of yards of dirt over to 8th Street, and Art Reckinger said he would move it around.

Mike asked the board if he could take vacation in late November, the board felt with this advanced warning, he could do it.

No New Business –

Gary Donovan said he sent a letter off to Dr. Torchia. In looking over the Township we have a lot of noxious weeds.

Community Policing Venture - Marion Township decided not to participate, so at this point this has been put on hold. There will be continued discussion on this.

South Port re: 29th Street - Jeff Orth reported the request for the 29th street extension in South Port has been tabled due to the slow lot sales in the new sub-division.

Meeting adjourned at 8:25 PM. Jeff Orth made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:25 PM, Brian Mueller seconded the motion; it was voted on and passed.
